It’s always good to see a client on the front page of a national broadsheet – and today’s Daily Telegraph was no exception. At 5.55pm yesterday evening I got an email from Dan Hyde, a journalist at the Telegraph, looking for some quick commentary on an embargoed report from the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. The report stated that the number of homes for sale is at its lowest level since records began in 1978 so would probably be running as the ‘splash’ on the front of the paper.
I quickly contacted a couple of Bien Media clients who I knew would have something interesting to say: Guy Meacock of buying agency Prime Purchase and Jonathan Adams of prime central London estate agency Napier Watt. I drafted the comment, which was with the journalist within half an hour.
The story was indeed the splash, with Guy quoted on the front page and Jonathan in the longer online story here: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/property/house-prices/11666634/Housing-market-grinds-to-a-halt-as-sales-hit-lowest-level-since-1978.html
